Hyperguide+ technology uses redesigned ramps and tooth profiles to guide the chain precisely, eliminating the pedal shock and hesitation common with other drivetrains. BEAM SPIDER CONSTRUCTION: To reduce weight and increase stiffness, Shimano mounts the largest cogs on a lightweight aluminium spider. This rigid design allows for more direct power transfer, translating your pedalling effort into faster acceleration and crisp shifting.

MICRO SPLINE FREEHUB SYSTEM: This cassette is designed exclusively for Shimano's MICRO SPLINE freehub body. This standard is necessary to accommodate the 10-tooth cog, which provides a wider gear range for both steep climbs and high-speed descents. The finer spline pattern also prevents the cassette from digging into the freehub body under load, increasing durability.
